[Knights Walk OFf Again ODB 14-13 - RBodnar reporting]: Second time is a charm, another walk-off win for the Knights over ODB 14-13. Knight’s Mitch Saul started, but by mid-game, ODB caught up to him. Knight’s 4 runs right off the bat in the bottom of the 1st. The games moved fast, and the OD came to life and scored 13 runs over 5 innings (4th to the 8th). Knights counter with 8 of their own between the 5thto 7th innings. Top of the 9th ODB leads by 1. Knight’s John (Fish) Salmon came into the pitch in the 9th and put down the ODB, Bottom of the 9th. One Knight scored on a play at second when our runner took out the second baseman and ran home to score. With a runner on first. The hero Knight’s Fish blasts a double to right center, and the runner scored from first with the walk-off win. Every one of the Knights got at least one hit, three for Fish, Mitch Saul, and Phil Beer, and defensive stars go to ODB for throwing out three Knights’ runners at the plate during the game. Which made the game closed and interesting.
[Parlays remain unbeaten this season - FMartire reporting]: The undefeated Parlays kept their unbeaten streak alive besting the 2nd place Eagles by 6. The Parlay's went up by 8, but a 5 run 7th by Eagles got it close. Parlays scored 3 in top 9th to put the game away!
For the Eagles, 2 hits came from Brian U, Bill R, Joe R, Craig V (6th week his BA has increased) and Vic G. 2 RBI came from Billy R, George V, and Vic G. Parlay's enticed the Birds to make 12 easy catches in fly ball outs.
