The 2026 Season is officially underway. The first 6 weeks of the season have been scheduled. More League notices and updates can be found on the League Annnouncements page.
Special note: Attn all mgrs & our umpires • The Fieldstone field is the back baseball field - we don't have the permit yet for the front softball field.
For games at The Highway Garage Field - because they now have such a high fence - it'll be a home run instead of a double.
please note•. Certain fields teams that helped the league obtain a field - they will play most of their home games at the particular field. There are only approximately 3 out of our 20 teams that did so.
ROSTERS are open for managers to edit their rosters for the season. July 1 @6:00 PM, rosters are locked.
2026 Season - Week 1 - Games Summaries ans Write-Ups
The 2026 season started off with good weather for a mid-April start. Thaks to Commissioner Eddie for securing all the fields, getting the schedules in place and getting all the 2026 seasons updates out to the teams. There were a number of changes to the Divisions, so let's see how the first week played out.
Division 1
- The defending Div-1A champs, Copper Still, opened the season against another strong Div 1-A team, the Elks. Always a competitive matchup, this time Copper Still provided a decisive opening day win, 14-5.
- In the first Div-1B game of the 2026 season, the Mustangs defeated the Hibernians in a see0saw battle, 14-13.
- One of two 1A vs 1B games on opening day, saw the defensing 1B Champs, Angels, lose to the newest team in the Rockland Senior Softball League, All American Masonry by a score of 13-9.
- In the second intra-divisional game, Eye Adventure defeated Spark's Diner in a pitcher's duel or similar league oddity, 1-0.
Division 2
- Knights started the new spring season with a Win Over the Mavericks 19-7. Slow start at 3-3 first, and Mav went ahead in the second. But the Knights took off between the 3rd and 7th with 12 runs. Added 4 in 9th. With Mav getting there, the other 3 in the middle innings. Knights George Silverman pitches the complete win. Rust showed on both teams in the field. Almost every (except one) Knight got at least one hit (with Phil Beers, Stev Zampino, Fish Salmon with 4, and new gent Clay with 3) and most Knights scored at least one run (With Knight Phil and Strev with three each and five others with 2 runs). Between the 7th and 9th, Knight George wiggle out thigh situations and blank the Mav and got the win. [Submitted by R. Bodnar - Knights Field Reporter]
- Thunder 2.0 over the Panthers with a 10-7-win ! Both teams played almost flawless defense with fine pitching. (only one walk) Giulio started and earned the win going 5 innings, Jose went 3 innings and Phil Sr. closed the game out. Thunders 21 hit attack featured Joel R and Edwin O with 3 hits each. Collecting 2 hits each were Jose M, Ali B, Andre V, Joe D and Phil V Jr. Our RBI leaders were Jose M, Ali B, and Edwin O each with 2. Leading the Panthers hitting were Nelson, Mark, and Chris with 3 hits each. Their pitcher tossed a complete game. [Submitted by P. Velenza, Sr. - Thunder 2.0 Special Correspondent]
- Swingers (new Div 2 team) hang on to grab the W over defending Div 2-C Champs, Parlays. The Parlays jumped out to an early lead through 6, notching at least 1 run each inning. Yet, the Swingers stayed within striking distance throughout. Timely hitting on both sides made the score high. But even more clutch defensive plays in the field kept boths sides from having that blowout inning until the bottom of the 7th when the Swingers plated 7. The Parlays mounted a noble response over the remaining two innings, but fell just a tad short giving the ex-D1 Swingers the win. The Swingers are trying to get back to the basics ... "you throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball." [Submitted by the Roving Senior Softball Field Reporter]
- The Blazers were on fire Sunday, torching the defending Div2-D champe, Deadheads, with a stinging 18-3 victory. The Blazers start the season off in a very convincing way, announcing their presence with authority (ala Nuke La Loosh).
- Not to be outdone, the Dodgers made some noise as well in week 1, handing the usually formidable Eagles an telling lose.
- The final game of the Div-2, Week 1 schedule was another nail biter. Halligan's outlasted ODB 23-19.
