8/13/2017

Week 16

Division A/B

The All American way movers knock off the Pearl River Saloon 6-Zip.  Krishna pitches gem; complete game shut out for the win. He was backed by excellent team D.

Sign Creations stayed near the top in the A, sending the Thunder into a fight for that final A Division playoff spot, with a 12-4 victory at the lovely and puddle free Kings Park North.

Division C/D

Panthers continue to play strong team ball with a 14-8 win over the Fireside. This was a real TEAM game with everyone participating with the run production. Panthers took the lead in the first inning and though the Fireside kept the pressure on, they were never able to overtake the Panthers, this game. Honorable mention goes to Doug and Len with some timely hitting and Mark W. with a long well timed 4 bagger. Again, another strong game by Tom on the mound. We also have to give a strong shout out to the makeshift infield (Mark, Basil and Tom, with Ray out and Tanner playing injured.

The Hibernians make a bold statement to the top teams, letting everyone know they aren't done quite yet. Taking this late season game, with a lot at stake, away from Joe & Joe by the score of 11-8. The game see sawed through 7 when the Hibs final put enough runs in front of them in the 8th to seal the day.

ODB stays close with a resounding effort against a Rockhound team that just can't seem to show up any week the season with a team that can anyone a good game.

Deadheads over Knights 21-3: Deadheads Offense runs for a T.D and throws for two more while stingy Defense prevents Knights from seeing the end zone, forcing them to settle for a Field goal.  Great all around Offensive display,as well as clutch Fielding and a nice 1,2 punch from our Pitchers, with Sammy (Mo) R. cleaning up nicely,in relief for injured Mike F.  Nicely done, guys!  11-3 with 2 top foes remaining in last 2 weeks. Division C/ Division D playoffs to be determined. Regardless of what happens the rest of the way,it's been a hell of a season and Eric and I are proud of you. G.F.D!
