Week 10 - Game Recaps (July 10, 2022)

Division I

Hibernians snip the Eagles wings [reported by the Eagles on-field correspondent]: The Hibernians handle the Eagles well, winning 17-2. The Hibs pounded out 28 hits, and played flawless Defense. Leadoff batter was 4-4, and Numbers 2, 3, 4  batters were all 3-4. This accounted for 13-16 hitting.

The Eagles hurt themselves with hitting into 3 double plays, and making 4 infield errors. Neil Murphy (S, D)  and  Billy Mauriello (S, T)   were both 2-3.  

Division II

Dodgers hold off the Knights [reported by the Knights on-field correspondent]: Knights made it two in a roll. With a comeback win over the Dodgers 18-17. With very see-saw battle changing hands. It was 2-2 first, two innings. In the top of 3^rd Dodgers are up by one.  Then Knights plated 5 to go ahead. Then Dodgers return 5 in the top of 4th to go up by one. Then Knights deposited 5 more runs to go ahead 12-8. The 5^th and 6^th Dodgers chiped away with 3 more to be one down. Knights were shut out those innings. The Dodgers went ahead with 6 big runs in the top of the 7^th and the Knights got 2 back in the bottom of the 7^th. In the 8^th the Dodgers are ahead 17-14. Knight’s Bobby came in. Threw a 1-2-3 Dodger 8^th.  Then the Knights dash ahead with 4 Runs to go one up. Knights - Bobby got the first 2 out, then a hit. Then KOed as the last Dodger hit Boby's noted curve to close the game and seal the win.
