WEEK 14 - JuLY 14

Man, it's (was) a hot one Like seven inches from the midday sun ...

Here are the game recaps as reported from the field ...

Division 1:

Updates Pending.

Division 2:

Deadheads win! Thhhhe DEADHEADS WIN! - Heads roll to 8th in a row to continue to keep pace with the high flying Eagles .
Once again, Tom P. masterfully silenced the bats of the opposition, much to the chagrin ( inside Deadhead joke) of Ken/Morgan and the Mavericks.
The heart of the order ( Eli,NEDward and Brandon) led the assault. Eli went 4-4 with a Double and a Dinger. NEDward had a Double and Homer of his own. Brandon had two Doubles. Orlando and Nate also contributed with Doubles.  Defensively, it was a fine game by all but highlight film worthy plays by Eli and Brandon really stood out. Eli, literally had a perfect game in the field and at the plate. He’s been a great addition to our team this year.

Great job by all the Heads. Mavs, it was fun, as always. You guys really know how to party. Hope you all made it home ok. lol Morgan, it should have been a home game for us :)   Is eight really enough? We will find out next week when we take on Sir Roy and his Knights of the round table in a Double Header. Good luck guys.
  Peace! LFGD!

ALL AMERICAN EAGLES 9 - PANTHERS 8 - The Flying All American Eagles out-did the land-based Panthers in a squeaker over the shores of Lake Nanuet. The Birds score 2 runs in bottom 9th to take it from a very good hard luck Panther team.

The AAE jumped out 5-0 after 1 inn with hits by Steve Ventola, Austin Kelly, Wilkey Jimenez, Joe Raia, George Vansise, Brian Uhlinger, and Louis Vidal. 5 runs, 6 hits, a walk netted 5 runs. George V, pitcher, had the Panthers tamed and brother Craig made a shoestring catch to kill a rally. Then things changed as the Panthers score 6 to the Eagles 6, to tie after 7inn. Then it was back and forth. Panthers score, AAE score, Panthers go up 1 in top 9th, but the Boys of Air came back with Brian U, Louis V and Ed Kelly 2 run RBI gamer closing out the barnburner.

Steve V had 3 hits as did Louis V, and netted a team 16 hits, 2 walks. George was in a hard luck situation a 5-run 6th had 4 Eagle errors behind him. Strong Arm Stevie V had a DP PO/Assist.

Todays' attendance was season holder Ellen Noname, and retired C, Lou Cantor, who the AA Eagles thank

Of note, Skipper Angelo acquired the remaining 25% of the rights to the AAA Scranton All American Hawks and in tribute to our USA country renamed his team the All-American Eagles and increased his diversified holdings to include Moving and Storage.
