WEEK 17 - Aug 4

Division 1:

Updates Pending.

Division 2:

It took 17 games of an 18-game regular season before a team clinched 1st place in Division 2. The All-American Eagles did that, as well as a pay-back in their 2-game season matchup (Blazers won round 1 by 3 runs), and getting a Bye into the start of Division 2 playoffs. All Around Papa Eagle George Vansise was up to his game magic. Pitched 6 run ball with 3 runs coming in last inning when then the game was well over, at the plate was 2 for 4, with a 'fast running' triple, Run, Walk, 2 Rbi and even had 3 Assists.

The Hitting Eagles had 2 Stars of the Day. Billy Robinson wacked a Grand Slam HR, (3 hits, 3 Runs, 5 Rbi; and Joe Raia belted a 3 run Dinger (2 hits, Walk, 4 Runs, 6 Rbi). The Hitting Arensal had 2 more Stars of the Game, with Austin Kelly going 4-4, 3 Rbi; and Bian Uhlinger was 4-5, 3 Runs, 2 Rbi; then, Steve Ventola 3-5, Chris Pellegrinelli, 2-3, Walk, Sac, Ed Kelly 1-3, 2 Walks, and Louis Vidal 1-3, Walk, Rbi.

The Eagles had 22 hits, (7 were extra base hits), and 10 walks. The Skipper's selection of his 1 of 3 game plans reported last Sunday, the analysis during the week, and selection Friday to implement, worked like a charm at Game Day.

Defensively the Birds made no errors (have 1 error in past 2 games).

The All-American Eagles have a 6-game win streak, including wins over top teams Deadheads and Blazers.

Next stop for these hungry Eagles who will be resting in their Eagle Rise-Tree nests located up North at Eagle Vacation Village in Birdway, ME where the temperature is moderate, no humidity, plenty of worms in the soil, fresh flight air, and just a great family vacation spot for most northeast Eagles to R&R.
