Weekly Game Summaries: May 4, 2025
Division 1-A Results (1-A Team is Home)

- Eye Adventure takes the SWING out of the SWINGERS with a strong 10-4 drubbing and their 1st win of the season.
|
- Copper Still moves to 2-0 with another lop-sided game. This time putting up 28 against Lynch's.

Division 1-B Results (1-B Team is Home)
|
- TRIAD knotches win #1, with 3 TDs late to overcome the Mustangs 21-16.
|
- Bolts move to 2-0 with a one-sided 21-5 victory over the Hibernians.

Division 2 Results |
- Halligans drop the Deadheads to 0-2 as they put their 1st W on the big board.
- Blazers are 2-0 after holding off the Panthers 11-7.
- The Dodgers are making an early statement that they plan to repeat with a serious 25-10 victory over the struggling Mavericks.
- Parlay's are also 2-0 with a solid 23-8 victory of the 3rd 0-2 team, the Knights. I don't expect there will be any 0-3 teams after next week.

The Eagles were tested hard, and almost found themselves calling 911 for emergency relief. But, with the 2025 motto as: "unfinished business" prevailed 11-10, with a bottom 9th gamer by Chris Pellegrinelli, and the never-die kid All-star veteran George Vansise who pitched the distance with 235 pitches thrown

The Birds trailed most of the game until they punched through 10-9 after 6 inns. Not to be out-done the ODBers put 1run up in the 8th and went to the bottom 9th tied.

Eagles had 11 runs, 16 hits, 5 walks, 42 at bats, .432 bat average, .500 on base percentage not counting errors (hits, walks). The defensive play of the Gem was when Billy Robinson pulled in a fast low throw, and very short 1 hop to record the out and kill a rally.

2 hit agents were Chris P + rbi, George V + rbi; Steve Ventola, + 2 rbi; Charlie Fisher + rbi, and ageless Vinnie Palineri

But ODB turned in 2 DP's and numerous ground ball assists to SS Billy Gonzalez. Bily Mauriello and Darren Tyrell had towering triples to RF and up against the fence. Andy Stone took the tough loss. The game was well played with 2 miscues on each side.

Veteran Kenny Malm who has played 3B with most of the players on both sides, has retired and moved on to FL, we wish them well
