Week 9 (06/22) is complete. Due to the crappy weather, only 3 games were played this weekend..

(A Basso Reporting]: The Eagles ended a successful Round 1 with a convincing Air over Land win over the Knights. The Bird's bats were lively all game, and led 10-2 after 3 inns and scored every inning there-after. 

One batting highlight was for the first 3 batters to have a Home Run each, CF Brian U, Flash SS Wilkie, and 3B Chris P; the 4th batter Billy R had to settle for his Sac fly and stopped the streak at 3. These same 4 players had 3 hits each, scored 13 runs, with 9 rbi. Iron-man George V pitched a 128 pitch count win, and was 4-5, 3 runs, 4 rbi at the plate. All batters had a great swings' day.

The "welcome back kid" Joe R, 2-3, 2 runs, walk, 1 rbi; 

Craig V, 2-4, run, rbi, no longer a Goat, that goes to Austin;

"DL" Ed K, 2-4, run, 2 rbi. Iron-man throws 128 pitches, saving 72 for next week; he pitches, he hits, he catches pop ups, 7 so far, plays like a goalie taking bullets to the 60-year-old body, and DRINKS above average

Defensively, Craig V hauled in 2 deep flys, BU got one too, and of course the diving madman Joe R, a running, back-hand, white of the ball showing, running into foul territory, near the foul line fence, a tumble, but a catch.
