Defense continues to be sharp as the Birds put together another 1-error game.

Game 2 - The ODB team pushed the Eagles hard, with the Birds scoring a bottom 7th inn 2 runs and recording a terrific win for them. In the bottom 7th, the Eagles had the top of their order coming up. Down 1 run, Craig Vansise led off with a single. Chris Pellegrinelli doubles, and quickly for 2nd and 3rd runners on base; then 3-batter Mike Romanello delivered the gamer with a 2-run Rbi single. The Glory of the Win, the Agony of the Loss.

The 16 hit attack was led by Mike Romanello 3-4, 2 runs, 5 rbi, home run; and Jeff Lieberman with 3-3, 2 rbi. Joining them were 2-hit agents Chris Pellegrinelli, Mike Leote, and Joe Raia (healthy and off the DL).

Craig Vansise continues his hot 6 game hitting 15-27. Now, joining him is Jeff, with his 3-5 DH performance, has now compiled a 12-21 (and several walks) over the last 6 games himself.   For the third straight game, Defense remains sharp with no field errors.

Pitcher Victor Grullen won his first Eagle win, holding the hard hitting but tough luck ODB team, until the Birds reached into their Nest and pulled out a last-inning gem. The Skipper enjoyed his soda, while his well-tested Eagles enjoyed that cold brew (with some fresh worms on the side !)    again, for the DH, reporting is Sr Eagle Reporter #1
