Michael Hill passed away suddenly on April 25, 2020. He was the owner of Dog Hill in Nanuet, NY.
Mike was born in Yonkers, NY on September 18, 1968. He was a lifelong resident of Rockland County and grew up in Pearl River, NY, graduating from Pearl River High School in 1987. Mike was an athlete all through his younger years and was a varsity athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He was a great Yankees fan and enjoyed all professional sports.
Early in his life Mike developed a talent for training difficult dogs and began his career in the animal care world as a dog trainer and dog walker in Manhattan. He was industrious enough to build that small business into a career in dog care. In 2013 he met his life partner, Vee Deen, and together they started Dog Hill in Haverstraw, NY and in 2014 moved to Rte 59 in Nanuet. Mike and Vee have built a wonderful business at Dog Hill, providing day care, boarding and grooming for dogs from all over the Rockland area.
Michael is survived by his life partner, Vee, 9 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Due to the current pandemic a memorial service that will truly honor the life that Mike led will be held at a date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a contribution to Dog Hill and Vee as she moves forward.
